We provide nutrition services that range from individual counseling to group classes, public speaking engagements, and consulting projects. We have 6 office locations throughout DFW, Chicago, and Austin. We are on a mission to take the stereotype of “diet” out of dietitian and make working with a dietitian simple, fun, and realistic. ABOUT THIS POSITION: The Registered Dietitian will provide outpatient nutrition counseling services in a private practice setting to individuals as it relates to food. This position will also be responsible for creating relationships with the community and providers to attract clients. Outpatient counseling services will be conducted onsite at Doherty Nutrition private offices in our Fort Worth location and via telehealth. Upon acceptance of employment, this individual will become a part of our existing 30 full-time/PRN, experienced RD team. Due to the rate at which we are growing, high-performing candidates in this PRN role will be eligible for full-time employment as client load increases and when established metrics are met. PRN team members that convert to full-time are eligible for salary (starting at ~60k/yr), bonus opportunities, benefits (health, dental, vision, 401K, disability/maternity leave), paid time off, holiday time off, sick time off as well as a hybrid work from home/in-office schedule. Individuals will also be eligible for higher-level leadership roles, cross-functional roles, or in-depth clinical specialty roles, depending on your desired career path and competency. If you have the work ethic, drive, and potential - we will coach up people that meet that criteria to get ready for those roles and advance their career. PRIMARY JOB DUTIES

  • Demonstrate an advanced knowledge of nutrition and counseling practices in outpatient settings
  • Complete individual personalized nutritional assessments and coordinate ongoing nutritional care
  • Provide nutritional counseling education for clients and/or their families both onsite at Doherty Nutrition offices as well as virtually
  • Participate in care coordination and treatment planning
  • Assist in meal planning and preparation for client meetings
  • Lead and facilitate group nutrition classes on assigned topics
  • Communicate compassionately, effectively and enthusiastically with clients and/or families
  • Develops and maintain nutrition education materials and clinical procedures up to date with current research and practice
  • Performs other duties as assigned - especially provider outreach
  • Must be able to demonstrate basic computer skills with a working knowledge of various software programs and electronic medical record charting

ABSOLUTE MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Must live in or be willing to relocate to Fort Worth, TX or surrounding area
  • Must be Credentialed as a Registered Dietitian with the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics
  • Understanding and willingness to be a firm believer of Motivational Interviewing, Intuitive Eating, Health at Every Size, and Weight-Inclusive Care
  • Experience treating eating disorders or willingness to be trained in this area.
  • Bachelor's degree in dietetics, nutrition, or related field

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Licensed with the state of Texas as a Dietitian (out of state / relo candidates OK!)
  • Master’s degree in food and nutrition preferred
  • Billingual in English and Spanish
