About Us
We are a growing outpatient behavioral health practice dedicated to providing compassionate, evidence-based mental health care to diverse populations. Our team includes licensed therapists, nurse practitioners, and registered nurses who work collaboratively to support patients on their mental health journey. Position Summary We are seeking a skilled and empathetic Physician Assistant (PA) to join our behavioral health team as an independent contractor. This position involves evaluating patients, managing medication, and collaborating with supervising psychiatrists to support treatment plans in an outpatient setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct psychiatric evaluations and follow-up visits for patients with depression, anxiety, ADHD, PTSD, and related conditions
- Prescribe and manage psychiatric medications within scope of licensure and under supervising physician
- Document patient encounters using our EMR system in a timely and thorough manner
- Collaborate with therapists, case managers, and physicians to ensure coordinated care
- Maintain HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality at all times
- Participate in team meetings and case consultations (virtual or in-person, as needed)
Requirement
- Current, unrestricted Physician Assistant license in the state of [State]
- National certification (NCCPA)
- DEA license with Schedule II-V prescribing authority
- Minimum 1 year of experience in psychiatry, behavioral health, or primary care with psychiatric comorbidity
- Strong interpersonal skills and a compassionate, patient-centered approach
- Ability to work independently as a 1099 contractor
- Malpractice insurance (or willingness to obtain)
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with telehealth platforms and EHR systems
- Bilingual abilities a plus
- Availability for both in-person and remote appointments
