Experienced Dental Customer Service Representative – Transforming Health Care Experiences

Job Summary:

We're seeking an experienced and compassionate Dental Customer Service Representative to join our team at arenaflex. As the face of arenaflex, you will impact members' service experiences by manner of how customer service inquiries and problems are resolved via telephone. You will engage, consult, and educate members based on their unique needs, preferences, and understanding of arenaflex plans, tools, and resources to help guide them along a clear path to care.

Training Schedule:

Our comprehensive training program is designed to equip you with the skills and knowledge necessary to excel in this role. The training schedule is as follows:

  • 12-13 weeks
  • 9:30am to 6pm EST, Monday to Friday

Permanent Work Schedule (Post Training):

Once you've completed your training, you'll work a permanent schedule of:

  • 9:30am to 6pm EST, Monday to Friday

Key Responsibilities:

As a Dental Customer Service Representative, you will be responsible for:

  • Engaging, consulting, and educating members based on their unique needs, preferences, and understanding of arenaflex plans, tools, and resources
  • Answering questions and resolving issues based on phone calls from members, providers, and plan sponsors
  • Triaging resulting rework to appropriate staff
  • Documenting and tracking contacts with members, providers, and plan sponsors
  • Guiding members through their plan of benefits, arenaflex policy, and procedures, as well as having knowledge of resources to comply with regulatory guidelines
  • Creating an emotional connection with our members by understanding and engaging the member to the fullest to champion for their best health
  • Taking accountability to fully understand the member's needs by building a trusting and caring relationship with the member
  • Anticipating customer needs and providing related information to answer unasked questions
  • Using customer service threshold framework to make financial decisions to resolve member issues
  • Explaining member's rights and responsibilities in accordance with contract
  • Educating providers on our self-service options
  • Advocating for the member to take them out of the middle, resolving billing conflicts

Essential Qualifications:

* Customer service experience in a transaction-based environment such as a call center or retail location, demonstrating ability to be empathetic and compassionate

  • Experience in a production environment
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent

Preferred Qualifications:

* Experience in a healthcare or insurance environment

  • Knowledge of dental plans and benefits
  • Experience with customer relationship management (CRM) software

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
