Join us in shaping the future of music education at UNC Charlotte. Develop and deliver engaging and comprehensive lesson plans for music theory, performance, and pedagogy courses. Create a welcoming and inclusive classroom environment for students of all backgrounds and abilities. Use innovative and interactive teaching methods to facilitate student learning and engagement. Provide timely and constructive feedback to students on their assignments and performances. Stay up-to-date with current trends and developments in the field of music education. Collaborate with other faculty members to ensure consistency and alignment in course content and expectations. Hold regular office hours to provide support and guidance to students outside of class. Assess and evaluate student progress and provide grades in a timely manner. Participate in departmental meetings and activities, including curriculum development and assessment. Actively engage in professional development to enhance teaching skills and knowledge in the field of music. Serve as a mentor and role model for students, promoting a passion for music and lifelong learning. Adhere to university policies and procedures, as well as the code of ethics for music educators. Foster a positive and collaborative relationship with colleagues, students, and staff. Represent the university and the music department in a professional and positive manner at all times.
