Remote - Okay, but candidate must be in USA with valid work-visa. If interested, please share resume to [email protected] Role: Tandem/HP NonStop Engineer Location: Remote (Berkeley Heights, NJ) Long Term Contract - W2 / C2C Core Skills & Experience:
- 7+ years of software development in enterprise environments, preferably large financial institutions, banks, or payment systems.
- Strong hands-on experience with Tandem / HP NonStop systems (critical for transaction processing environments).
- Proficiency in COBOL and TAL (Transaction Application Language) development.
- Prior experience designing, developing, and maintaining large-scale, mission-critical applications (e.g., high-volume transaction processing).
- Solid knowledge of data replication and synchronization tools - especially Shadowbase or Oracle GoldenGate.
- Strong problem-solving and debugging skills in complex legacy systems.
- Ability to work in cross-functional teams with business and technology stakeholders.
- Strong communication and documentation skills.
Additional Nice-to-Have Skills:
- Familiarity with fault-tolerant systems and high availability architectures.
- Experience in financial services, payments, or capital markets (since Tandem/HP NonStop is widely used there).
- Knowledge of SQL/Enscribe database environments on Tandem systems.
- Good understanding of system performance tuning, troubleshooting, and production support.
