Principal/Manager/Consultant Biostatistician | Real World Evidence Remote – US only (EST zone) Start: June 1, 2026 Contract full-time About the role ASTEK US is looking for an experienced Biostatistician to support RWE biostats team for leading pharmaceutical group. You'll work across the full study lifecycle, protocols, SAPs, and analyses, on non-interventional studies using US claims, EHR, and registry data. What you'll do
- Author and review Statistical Analysis Plans (SAPs) and study protocols
- Lead and scope analyses for pharmacoepidemiology and outcomes research studies
- Apply and document bias mitigation strategies specific to claims and EHR data
- Implement a range of study designs: cohort, self-controlled (SCCS), target trial emulation (TTE)
- Use advanced methods: propensity score, clone-censor-weighting, time-to-event
What we're looking for
- MS or PhD in Biostatistics, Statistics, or related field
- 7–10 years of experience in RWE / pharmacoepidemiology
- Strong hands-on experience with US claims data (Optum, MarketScan, etc.)
- Knowledge of biases in claims & EHR analyses (confounding, immortal time, selection bias)
- Proficiency in R
- Ability to independently author SAPs and contribute to protocols
- Vaccines / infectious disease experience is a plus
