SAP REM - Real Estate Management Consultant
SAP Real Estate (RE-FX) Consultant – Lease Management & Reporting 100% Remote (U.S.-based resource) Job Summary We are seeking an experienced SAP Real Estate (RE-FX) Consultant to support and enhance our lease management and reporting capabilities. The role will focus on improving system efficiency, automating manual processes, and enabling compliance with financial and ESG reporting requirements. This position requires deep expertise in SAP lease management, financial integration, and custom reporting solutions. Key ResponsibilitiesLease Management & System Enhancements
- Manage and enhance SAP RE-FX lease contracts for owned and leased properties
- Support lease lifecycle activities including creation, modification, and reporting
- Identify and resolve system gaps impacting scalability and efficiency
Custom Development & Automation
- Design and implement an Excel-based upload/download tool for lease contract data
- Collaborate with technical teams to develop custom SAP objects and automation solutions
- Replace manual processes with scalable system-driven solutions
Reporting & Compliance
- Develop and enhance reports for:
- Lease contract modifications tracking
- Lease accounting summary (SEC compliance)
- Asset and liability roll-forward
- Build ESG reporting capabilities leveraging building master and lease data
- Ensure alignment with internal controls and regulatory requirements
Financial Integration
- Integrate RE-FX with SAP FI for:
- Lease accounting (ASC 842 / IFRS 16)
- Asset and liability calculations
- Support reconciliation and financial reporting processes
Stakeholder Collaboration
- Partner with Finance, Real Estate, and IT teams to gather requirements
- Translate business needs into scalable SAP solutions
- Provide guidance on best practices and system optimization
Required Qualifications
- 8+ years of SAP experience with strong focus on RE-FX (Flexible Real Estate Management)
- Hands-on experience with lease accounting (ASC 842 / IFRS 16)
- Strong knowledge of SAP FI integration
- Experience with custom reporting and enhancements (ABAP, CDS Views, or BOBJ/SAC)
- Proven experience designing solutions to replace manual processes
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with ESG or sustainability reporting in SAP
- Experience building data upload tools (LSMW, BDC, Fiori apps, or custom frameworks)
- Knowledge of SAP S/4HANA Real Estate capabilities
- Strong understanding of internal controls and SEC reporting requirements
