Oversee the entire procurement process, from identifying equipment needs to negotiating contracts and finalizing purchases. Research and evaluate potential equipment suppliers to ensure quality, reliability, and cost-effectiveness. Collaborate with internal stakeholders, such as department heads and budget managers, to understand equipment needs and budget constraints. Lead and manage a team of procurement professionals to ensure efficient and effective execution of procurement activities. Monitor market trends and developments in the capital equipment industry to identify potential cost-saving opportunities and improve procurement processes. Establish and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure timely and high-quality delivery of equipment. Develop and maintain procurement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with company standards and legal requirements. Prepare and present reports on procurement activities, including budgeting, forecasting, and cost analysis, to senior management. Continuously evaluate and improve procurement processes and systems to increase efficiency and reduce costs. Communicate and collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, finance, and operations, to ensure alignment and efficient execution of procurement activities. Stay updated on industry best practices and technologies to drive innovation and improvement in the procurement process. Keep abreast of changing regulations and laws related to procurement and ensure compliance. Represent the company in negotiations with suppliers to secure the best terms and pricing.
