The firm serves a diverse group of clients including government entities, nonprofits, healthcare organizations, and financial institutions. Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage audit engagements with a primary focus on State and Local Government audits, including municipalities, state agencies, and special districts.
- Oversee planning, execution, and completion of audit engagements, ensuring efficiency and quality.
- Build and maintain relationships with client management and governing bodies.
- Facilitate and document important client communications and keep senior leadership informed on engagement progress.
- Review workpapers and financial statements for accuracy and compliance with applicable standards.
- Provide real-time training, guidance, and performance feedback to audit staff and seniors.
- Support the professional development of team members.
- Identify opportunities to expand audit and advisory services based on client needs.
What You Bring
- Bachelor degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
- Active CPA license.
- At least four years of experience in public accounting.
- Strong experience with financial statement preparation and governmental audit requirements.
- Ability to manage multiple engagements while maintaining high-quality work.
- Strong communication, organization, and client relationship skills.
