SEO & Paid Ads Growth Specialist (Build Our In-House Marketing System)

Remote | 1099 Contractor $7–$8/hr (With opportunities to earn more with results and time) We are a residential roofing company transitioning our marketing from external vendors to an in-house system. We are looking for someone who can step into what already exists, analyze it, and help build a structured, repeatable marketing process from the ground up. This role is ideal for someone who already understands SEO and paid ads execution, but also enjoys experimenting, documenting systems, and improving processes over time. You will work closely with our Marketing Lead while helping bring structure, tracking, and operational clarity to everything under the marketing umbrella. What You’ll Do Your first responsibility is understanding and organizing our current marketing efforts. This includes: - Reviewing work previously done by external SEO vendors - Establishing performance baselines (traffic, rankings, leads, ad metrics) - Documenting existing processes and workflows - Building clear SOPs for repeatable marketing activities - Supporting and optimizing Google Ads campaigns - Contributing to SEO strategy and execution - Tracking and reporting key marketing metrics - Identifying opportunities to improve lead generation over time This role involves both execution and analysis, with room to experiment, test ideas, and help shape the system as we grow. What We’re Looking For We are looking for someone who already understands how SEO and paid ads work and can operate with minimal hand-holding. You should: - Have 2+ years of hands-on SEO experience - Understand local SEO fundamentals (rankings, on-page, technical basics) - Have experience with Google Ads campaign management (And Google Console & WordPress) - Be comfortable reviewing data and identifying patterns - Translate technical insights into clear, simple explanations so leadership can understand performance and make informed decisions - Be proactive and comfortable figuring things out through testing and iteration - Be organized and able to document processes clearly - Be collaborative and open to sharing ideas with leadership We value people who are curious, analytical, and eager to improve systems over time.
