Volunteer: Create a Grant Proposal Toolkit

This is a volunteer opportunity provided by Taproot Foundation, a nonprofit creating social change through pro bono connections. Our nonprofit is searching for a grant writer to create and refine our grant proposal documentation; helping us find our organizational voice for future funding pitches. To implement this project, I imagine we'll need two-three meetings with a volunteer. In our first meeting, we'll discuss our organization, what we envision, and the reality of what we're asking for; we'll align on expectations and agree on the project timeline. Next, you'll review our current documentation, our website, and our wins and programming to create and draft our grant package; this is project is ultimately providing us with our foundational grant documentation. From there, our team will review and offer any areas of clarification, if needed. Femmecubator's mission is to bridge the inequities BIPOC women in STEM face when entering the tech field. Our programming not only prepares underserved communties for this job field, but we provide dedicated mentorship from BIPOC women leaders and a safe space to learn, collaborate, and innovate while building projects that expand their portfolios. And we provide this at low-cost or free to participants. By securing funding, we'll be able to provide this support on a much bigger and consistent scale. We'll also be able to amplify the Femmecubator mission to a wider audience. We have a dedicated team member for the project who will provide you with any documentation that needs to be reviewed in an easily shareable format.
