Proofreader (Polish)

We are looking for detail-focused Proofreaders to support short-term remote assignments reviewing written materials in the Polish language for a services environment. This Contract position is based in California and offers project-based work lasting 3 days per assignment. In this role, you will help refine documents for accuracy, consistency, and readability while handling time-sensitive deliverables with discretion.

Responsibilities

• Review multilingual documents thoroughly to correct errors related to spelling, grammar, punctuation, and layout.
• Refine written content to ensure clarity, consistency, and appropriate language usage for the target locale.
• Follow project standards and editorial instructions to preserve the original meaning and structure of each document.
• Complete assigned proofreading work within established turnaround times for each short-term contract project.
• Share progress updates, raise questions quickly, and communicate any issues that could affect delivery timelines.
• Handle sensitive materials responsibly and maintain confidentiality throughout the review process.
• At least 1 year of experience in proofreading, editing, or document review.
• Business-level proficiency in the Polish language.
• Strong command of written grammar, spelling, punctuation, and style in the supported language(s).
• Ability to work independently in a remote setting while managing short project deadlines.
• Familiarity with proofreading tools and day-to-day productivity platforms such as Google Workspace.
• High attention to detail and a consistent approach to reviewing documents for quality and accuracy.
