Brand Editorial Copywriter
Job Description:
- Develop thought leadership pieces that position the company as an industry expert and trusted voice.
- Research and write long‑form content such as whitepapers, articles, reports, and industry insights.
- Conduct interviews with internal experts to gather information and strengthen content depth.
- Support the Director of Marketing and Communications in developing long‑form content, industry‑focused materials, and internal communications.
- Draft copy for newsletters, announcements, presentations, and other communication channels.
- Prepare Requests for Proposals (RFPs) for Property & Casualty (P&C) and Employee Benefits (EB).
- Ensure all written content aligns with brand voice, tone, and messaging guidelines.
- Edit and proofread materials for clarity, accuracy, grammar, and consistency.
- Maintain editorial standards and contribute to the development of style guidelines.
- Stay informed on industry trends, competitor messaging, and emerging topics.
- Use insights to craft relevant, timely, and authoritative content that supports business objectives.
- Monitor industry publications and market developments to identify new content opportunities.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, English, or a related field.
- 3–5 years of professional writing experience, preferably in insurance, financial services, or a related industry.
- Experience producing long‑form content and thought leadership pieces.
- Prior experience supporting marketing or communications teams is preferred.
- Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills with strong attention to detail.
- Ability to translate complex concepts into clear, engaging content.
- Strong research skills and the ability to synthesize information from multiple sources.
- Familiarity with brand voice development and editorial style guidelines.
- Ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and adapt to shifting priorities.
- Strong collaboration skills and the ability to work effectively with cross‑functional teams.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with content management systems is a plus.
