Cybersecurity Senior Manager – M&A / Carveouts / Integration

This role sits at the intersection of M&A, cybersecurity, and transformation , helping organizations stand up, separate, or integrate security programs in fast-paced deal environments. Key Details

Targeting April 27
- Structure:
Open to contract, contract-to-hire, or direct hire
- Preference for contract given immediate need, but open to strong candidates seeking full-time roles
- Work Environment:
Hybrid (2 days/week in office)
- Strong preference for candidates in
LA, SF, NYC, or Chicago
- Open to remote for highly aligned candidates, but must be near a major airport and willing to travel
- Travel:
~10–25% depending on client needs
- Duration (if contract):
6+ months, with potential for full-time conversion What You’ll Do
- Lead cybersecurity workstreams across
M&A transactions , including carveouts, integrations, and Day 1 readiness
- Assess and design
cybersecurity programs across people, process, and technology
- Develop and execute
roadmaps for standing up or transforming security capabilities
- Guide clients through
security architecture, GRC, controls implementation, and tooling decisions
- Facilitate workshops, gather requirements, and translate findings into
clear, actionable plans
- Interface directly with
executive stakeholders , including private equity leadership
- Lead and mentor consultants, while driving
delivery quality and client outcomes What We’re Looking For (Must-Haves)
- 8–12+ years of experience
in cybersecurity, with a strong consulting background preferred
- Proven experience supporting
M&A, carveouts, or post-close integration efforts
- Experience leading
end-to-end cybersecurity initiatives (assessment → roadmap → implementation)
- Broad knowledge across key domains:
- Security architecture
- GRC / risk & compliance
- Cloud and application security
- Identity, data protection, and incident response
- Experience performing
risk & controls assessments (NIST, ISO, etc.)
- Ability to confidently engage and present to
senior and executive stakeholders
Nice to Have
- Experience working with
private equity clients or portfolio companies
- Familiarity with
cost modeling, operating model design, or vendor/tool selection
- Experience leading
teams or workstreams in a consulting environment Why This Role
