About The Role We are seeking a highly skilled Cybersecurity Analyst to join our dynamic team at secunet Security Networks AG. In this role, you will be responsible for monitoring, analyzing, and responding to security incidents across various networks and systems. Your expertise will be crucial in identifying vulnerabilities, implementing security measures, and ensuring the continuous protection of our clients’ digital environments. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of cybersecurity principles, hands-on experience with security tools, and a proactive approach to threat detection and mitigation. Qualifications

The ideal candidate should have a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field. Professional certifications such as CISSP, CISA, CEH, or equivalent are highly desirable. Candidates should have at least 3-5 years of experience in cybersecurity, with a proven track record of handling security incidents and implementing security protocols. Strong knowledge of network protocols, intrusion detection systems, firewalls, and encryption technologies is essential. Familiarity with security frameworks such as ISO 27001, NIST, or GDPR compliance is a plus. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills are required, along with the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

As a Cybersecurity Analyst at secunet, your key responsibilities will include monitoring network traffic and security alerts to identify potential threats or vulnerabilities. You will conduct thorough investigations of security incidents, determine their root causes, and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence. Developing and maintaining security policies, procedures, and documentation will be a core part of your role. You will also be responsible for configuring and managing security tools such as intrusion detection/prevention systems, antivirus, and endpoint protection solutions. Collaborating with IT teams and clients to assess security risks and recommend appropriate mitigation strategies is vital. Additionally, you will stay updated on the latest cybersecurity threats, trends, and best practices to enhance our security posture continually. Providing training and awareness sessions to staff on security protocols and fostering a security-conscious culture will also be part of your duties.
