[Hiring] Bilingual Spanish/English Trade Compliance Counsel @Axiom Talent Platform
Role Description We are seeking a Customs & Trade Compliance Counsel (Spanish/English bilingual) to join our team in support of a leading global technology client. This role focuses on customs valuation, classification, and country of origin analysis, with a particular emphasis on e-commerce and express shipments. We are looking for a hands-on attorney with strong experience advising on U.S. and international customs regulations and supporting businesses operating within complex global supply chains.
- Advise on customs compliance matters, including valuation, classification, and country of origin determinations for imported goods.
- Review, draft, and negotiate documentation related to import/export compliance, low-value shipments, express shipments, and global trade regulations.
- Counsel business teams on regulatory risks and compliance strategies impacting U.S. and cross-border trade operations.
- Monitor developments in customs and trade laws and communicate relevant updates to internal stakeholders.
- Partner with logistics, supply chain, operations, and legal teams to ensure adherence to customs requirements.
- Support development and implementation of internal trade compliance policies, governance frameworks, and training initiatives.
Qualifications
- Fluency in both Spanish and English (required).
- Experience advising on customs valuation, tariff classification, and country of origin rules (required).
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree and active bar membership in good standing in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.
- Demonstrated experience advising businesses on U.S. and international customs compliance matters.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred Skills
- Prior in-house experience supporting global trade or supply chain operations.
- Experience advising on e-commerce models, low-value air shipments, or express carrier frameworks.
- Familiarity with global trade compliance programs and internal controls.
- Ability to thrive in a flexible, project-based engagement model and collaborate across cross-functional teams.
Compensation
The estimated total compensation for full-time Axiom attorney roles is $104,500-325,000 per year and for non-attorney roles is $71,250-309,750 per year. Compensation decisions are based on various factors, including, but not limited to, experience, skills, certifications, location, and business needs.
