SQL Server DBA Support
Position: SQL DBA Support Experience level: Senior Education level: Bachelor Degree Location: any state of Mexico Industry – Sector: Insurance What you’ll do? Administer and support SQL Server databases across production and non-production environments with a strong focus on stability and performance. Continuously monitor production SQL Server databases, scheduled jobs, and background processes to ensure successful execution and compliance with SLA requirements. Proactively identify anomalies, failures, or performance degradation in database jobs and services. Identify, analyze, and resolve long-running or stalled SQL Server jobs caused by performance bottlenecks, inefficient queries, locking/blocking issues, or resource constraints. Perform root cause analysis for performance-related issues and recommend long-term optimization strategies. Execute database-related deployment tasks during approved deployment windows, including schema changes, data migrations, and configuration updates. Participate in on-call rotations to support P1 (critical) production incidents and ensure rapid response when required. Resolve and update service requests, incidents, and change tasks logged in ServiceNow in accordance with established SLAs and operational standards. What you’ll bring: 9+ years of hands-on experience working with Microsoft SQL Server databases in enterprise production environments. Strong experience with SQL Server job monitoring, performance troubleshooting, and operational support. Proven ability to diagnose and resolve database performance issues affecting production workloads. Experience supporting deployments and database changes during scheduled maintenance windows. Hands-on experience managing incidents, service requests, and change records using ServiceNow or similar ITSM tools.
