Senior Recruiter for Tech Startup
Overview
We are an AI-forward holding company with operating businesses in technology and healthcare. We are building out our core team and looking for an experienced, senior-level recruiter to support sourcing and screening across multiple open roles simultaneously. We have a small number of high-stakes positions and detailed ideal candidate profiles for each. We need someone who can understand those profiles, apply them with judgment, and surface genuinely strong candidates. You will work closely with the founder and an executive overseeing the search. We want a recruiting partner who pushes back, asks hard questions, and helps us sharpen our thinking on these roles. The Roles You will be recruiting across four open positions: Head of Finance & Accounting (VP or CFO) - A senior finance and accounting leader with controllership depth, experience in B2B tech and/or healthcare provider environments, and demonstrated AI sophistication. Technical Executive Assistant - An exceptionally organized, AI-obsessed professional on a path from EA to Chief of Staff. A profile that does not fit neatly into a standard job category. Senior AI Developer - A deeply technical, open-source-oriented engineer with a strong personal portfolio and hands-on AI implementation experience. Entry-Level AI Developer - An early-career engineer whose GitHub is more impressive than their resume and who is already building with AI tools independently. Ideally, one recruiter covers all four. If your background is stronger in executive business roles or technical roles rather than both, we are open to that conversation - we may engage two specialists if that produces better outcomes.
What We're Looking For
Genuine seniority. You have recruited for executive-level business roles (specifically finance), technical roles, or both - and you are credible in the areas you cover. We are not looking for someone who will stretch uncomfortably outside their expertise. Strong judgment. We have detailed ideal candidate profiles. We need someone who can internalize them, apply them with nuance, and distinguish between a candidate who looks right on paper and one who actually fits. A consultative orientation. We want a recruiting partner who will push back on our assumptions, flag when a profile seems misaligned with the market, and help us refine our approach as we learn. Passive execution is not what we are looking for. Professional communication. You will be representing us externally to candidates. Your outreach needs to be polished, credible, and appropriately calibrated to the seniority of the person you are contacting. AI fluency. We are an AI-forward organization and we expect the same from the people we work with. You should be comfortable using AI tools to accelerate your sourcing workflow - not because we will require it, but because a recruiter who isn't is going to be slower and less effective than what this engagement demands.
