Principal Systems Integration Engineer OASYS, INC., a Leading-Edge Government contractor, is seeking applicants for a Principal Systems Integration Engineer position to support our customer in Chantilly, VA , but could also support remotely using supplied equipment in El Segundo, CA, San Francisco, CA or Palm Bay, Florida.

Summary

As Principal Systems Integration Engineer, you will be supporting the Systems Engineering and Integration of the Tranche 3 constellation, which includes hundreds of satellites accomplishing multiple mission areas including missile warning, tracking and defense and tactical communications to warfighters. You will work with the SDA, space vehicle contractors, and ground segment contractors to ensure the architecture, requirements, implementation, integration and testing are executed successfully. Responsibilities to include, but are not limited to: Works as a key part of the overall Systems Engineering, Integration and Test (SEIT) group that is the core of the T3PI team. Supports integration and early testing of Space Vendor designs to meet system requirements to achieve overall mission needs while considering technical and schedule constraints Ensures segment-level specifications are consistent with system-level requirements. Evaluates End-to-End system threads, functional behaviors between space and ground elements. Supports functional analysis, schedule analysis, and trade studies. Supports MBSE Cameo Model capture and review of requirements, CONOPS, and interfaces between Space and Ground Segments Supports system-level risk assessments Works with space vehicle contractors to ensure designs meet requirements and interfaces across segments . Participates in coordination and Working Group meetings to address shortfalls, gaps, risks, and any required system waivers. Assists with planning and execution of system-level tests and the evaluation of segment-level test plans and execution. Required Education and Experience Bachelors and nine (9) years or more experience; Masters and seven (7) years or more experience ; PhD or JD and four (4) years or more experience. Relevant experience to be substituted in lieu of degree. Developing and/or sustaining critical space systems for national security, preferably including space-to-ground integration Experience with systems engineering involving the integration of complex multi-element systems, preferably Space-based remote sensing or communication Systems.
