Experienced Member Services Representative – Payments and Digital Strategy Team

Key Responsibilities
As a Member Services Representative, your primary responsibilities will include:
- Completing data access and balancing tasks to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting
- Coordinating return items with vendors, the Federal Reserve Bank, and other institutions
- Assisting other departments with fraud resolution, member inquiries, and accounting standard ledger balancing
- Working member cases/assignments and following established procedures to ensure compliance with NACHA regulations and federal banking laws
- Processing mortgage bills, multi-account and member deposits, credit card bills, and other exams, including IRA, bankruptcy, and payoff exams
- Reviewing, examining, and approving Remote Deposit, Mobile, ATM, and other imaged-enabled products
- Logging, reviewing, and making necessary GL, account changes, and/or returns
- Processing Stop Pays and Check Batching
- Completing daily balancing and department closing
- Obtaining information from members for the timely and accurate processing of international and domestic wire transfer requests
- Researching and verifying incoming and outgoing wire transfer information
- Communicating with vendors to process wire transfers
- Understanding and being familiar with outgoing and incoming wire transfer laws
- Depositing check returns, reviewing member draft changes, processing member exams, affirming members for outgoing wire transfers, and Federal Reserve verifying and releasing wire transfers
- Completing daily processing of workflows associated with overdue returns, supply of receipts, international collections, and legal fees
All You'll Need for Success
To excel in this role, you will need:
- A high school degree or equivalent
- Intermediate Excel and Word experience
- Strong customer service skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to prioritize work and meet deadlines under high-pressure situations
- Ability to work independently and with minimal supervision
- Ability to self-motivate with strong employer skills and a focus on detail
- Ability to effectively prioritize work and meet deadlines
- Ability to maintain excellent performance and attendance
- Must pass relevant arenaflex and Credit Union pre-employment compliance exams
Preferred Qualifications
* Previous customer/member service experience
- Previous banking or Credit Union experience
- Episys/Symitar and processing wires experience
Skills and Competencies
To succeed in this role, you will need to possess:
- Skilled in Microsoft Office software (e.g., Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint) through work experience with the software or education and hands-on use of the software
- Ability to work prolonged hours in support of business needs
- Ability to exercise excellent customer service skills
- Ability to perform mathematical calculations and review data
- Ability to effectively prioritize work and meet deadlines
- Ability to cross-train and perform any position assigned within the department
- Ability to interact professionally with all personnel and members
- Ability to work independently and with minimal supervision
- Ability to self-motivate with strong employer skills and a focus on detail
