Key Responsibilities
As a Chat Moderator, you'll be responsible for:
- Moderating the chat of our official Discord server, ensuring that all interactions are respectful and adhere to our community guidelines
- Deleting messages that violate our rules, including but not limited to:
+ Hate speech or discriminatory language + Spam or self-promotion + Inflammatory or provocative content
- Banning users who repeatedly violate our rules, after thorough investigation and review
- Muting users who have violated our rules, to prevent further disruptions
- Investigating reports made by users about potential rule violations, and taking necessary actions
- Collaborating with our team to develop and refine our community guidelines and moderation policies
- Providing excellent customer service and support to our community members
Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you'll need:
- To be at least 18 years old
- A High School Diploma or equivalent
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a remote team
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Familiarity with Discord and its moderation tools
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
- Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing circumstances
Preferred Qualifications
* Experience as a moderator or administrator on online communities or social media platforms
- Knowledge of community management principles and best practices
- Familiarity with arenaflex's mission and values
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends
