Position Overview

We are seeking a Heart Health Data Entry Specialist to join our administrative team, responsible for ensuring accurate and timely management of patient data related to cardiovascular care. The ideal candidate will possess strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. This position requires proficiency in data entry, medical terminology, and an understanding of the importance of maintaining confidentiality and HIPAA compliance.

Key Responsibilities

As a Heart Health Data Entry Specialist, you will be responsible for:

  • Accurately entering and updating patient data related to heart health, including medical histories, diagnostic results, treatment plans, and follow-up care.
  • Maintaining and updating the electronic health records (EHR) system to ensure all cardiovascular-related information is accurate and up-to-date.
  • Processing and verifying patient information for cardiology appointments, procedures, and tests.
  • Assisting in the preparation and organization of patient files for clinical visits and cardiovascular procedures.
  • Collaborating with cardiology staff to ensure the timely entry and retrieval of patient data as needed for care coordination.
  • Reviewing and auditing patient data to ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and company standards.
  • Ensuring all data is entered in accordance with HIPAA privacy guidelines and confidentiality standards.
  • Supporting the cardiology team with administrative tasks, including patient scheduling and medical billing data entry.
  • Troubleshooting and resolving discrepancies or data entry issues in a timely manner.
  • Assisting with the generation of reports and data analytics for cardiovascular health outcomes and patient care metrics.
  • Maintaining a high level of professionalism and attention to detail while interacting with staff, patients, and other departments.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent; an associate degree or relevant certifications in healthcare administration or medical billing are highly desirable.
  • Previous experience in data entry or healthcare administration is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with cardiovascular terminology and medical records is a plus.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and experience with Electronic Health Record (EHR) software.
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure and meet deadlines.
