Primary Responsibilities

As a Bilingual and Non-Bilingual Customer Service Representative I, you'll be responsible for:

• Assisting customers via phone or in-person, providing timely and friendly support to resolve their inquiries and concerns
• Reviewing confidential tax information and maintaining a working knowledge of current tax laws and policies
• Providing account maintenance according to tax laws and policies, ensuring accuracy and compliance
• Supporting customers with online self-service functions through the Georgia Tax Center
• Utilizing technology to provide advanced support and resolve complex issues
• Collaborating with internal stakeholders to ensure seamless communication and issue resolution

Key Skills and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you'll need:

• High school diploma or GED
• Six months of call center experience handling customer inquiries, complaints, and information
• Excellent customer service skills, with the ability to address issues in a timely, friendly, and professional manner
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to evaluate complex situations and make informed decisions
• Good judgment and decision-making skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment, promoting a positive and respectful atmosphere
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with diverse stakeholders
• Proficiency in technology, including CRM systems, web tools, and other software applications

Preferred Qualifications

While not required, we're particularly interested in candidates with:

• Experience working in a high-volume contact center environment
• Bilingual skills in Spanish or a second language, with excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
• Familiarity with tax laws and policies, with the ability to provide accurate and up-to-date information
