Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Data Entry Specialist to join our Operational Accounting team in Sioux Falls, SD. As a Data Entry Specialist, you will be responsible for supporting our operational accounting functions, including data entry, processing correspondence, and creating customer letters. This is a 6-month contract position with the possibility of extension. The ideal candidate will be highly data-driven, detail-oriented, and possess excellent communication skills.

Key Responsibilities

* Support Operational Accounting by performing moderately complex operational support tasks, including data entry and updating data in spreadsheets

  • Proactively seek ways to improve processes and procedures to increase efficiency and accuracy
  • Receive direction from supervisor and escalate non-routine questions or concerns
  • Interact with client personnel on a range of information, including processing correspondence, researching check status, and making decisions to approve or deny reissue requests
  • Process accounting entries and create customer letters
  • Perform data entry tasks accurately and efficiently

Essential Qualifications

* High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in a related field preferred

  • 1-2 years of experience in data entry or a related field
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work accurately and efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to learn and adapt to new software and systems quickly

Preferred Qualifications

* Experience with data entry software, such as Excel or Access

  • Knowledge of accounting principles and procedures
  • Experience working in a customer-facing role
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
