Key Responsibilities
As an Experienced Data Protection & Privacy Analyst, you will be responsible for:
- Analyzing and implementing data protection and privacy requirements and policies locally, nationally, and globally
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and maintain highly scaling technology solutions
- Ensuring compliance with data protection and privacy regulations and standards
- Providing expert advice on data protection and privacy matters to stakeholders
- Developing and implementing data protection and privacy training programs for employees
- Conducting risk assessments and implementing controls to mitigate data protection and privacy risks
- Collaborating with security teams to ensure the security of data and systems
- Staying up-to-date with emerging trends and technologies in data protection and privacy
Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field
- 3+ years of experience in a STEM-related field
- Understanding of data protection and privacy requirements and policies locally, nationally, and globally
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a dynamic environment to strict deadlines, with the potential to handle multiple tasks concurrently
- Must be legally eligible to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship
- Reliable, punctual attendance is a critical aspect of this role
Preferred Qualifications
While not required, the following qualifications will help you stand out from the pack:
- CISA certification
- Knowledge of computer networking principles and protocols, and network security
- Knowledge of security engineering and architecture principles
- Knowledge of cryptography and cryptographic key control principles
- Ability to interpret noncompliance to determine their impact on levels of risk and/or average effectiveness of the company's cybersecurity program
- Hands-on experience with data protection and privacy vendors, tools, and product capabilities
