As a Student Loan Advisor, you will play a critical role in assisting borrowers with their questions, concerns, and needs, while also driving growth and success within our organization.

Job Summary

As a Student Loan Advisor, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service to borrowers, answering their questions, and resolving their concerns in a timely and professional manner. You will work closely with our team to ensure that our customers receive the support and guidance they need to achieve their financial goals. Key Responsibilities

* Provide exceptional customer service to borrowers, answering their questions and resolving their concerns in a timely and professional manner

  • Assist borrowers with completing their applications and submitting them electronically to our plan providers for processing
  • Utilize standard technology, such as a telephone, email, and web browser, to navigate our systems and provide accurate and efficient service to our customers
  • Follow established and documented policies and standard operating procedures, including working within our various systems, timekeeping, and documentation of calls from end to end
  • Adhere to ethics and privacy rules, ensuring that all customer interactions are handled with confidentiality and respect
  • Complete basic call logs, documentation, and related call details for each phone inquiry, including clicking radio buttons to confirm which scripts were read by the CSR during the call
  • Meet or exceed established key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics, including attendance, performance, and compliance standards

Schedule

* Monday: 11:45am-8:15pm

  • Tuesday: 10:45am-7:15pm
  • Wednesday: 10:45am-7:15pm
  • Thursday: 8:45am-5:15pm
  • Friday: 8:45am-5:15pm

Preferred Skills

* High School diploma or equivalent required

  • Must be able to speak and read English clearly, professionally, and fluently
  • Must be able to type a minimum of 35 WPM
  • Experience working with a personal computer and the Windows operating system is required
  • The ability to effectively work within established KPIs/metrics is necessary
  • Must have demonstrated excellent interpersonal and leadership skills
  • Must be able to multi-task and stay organized while completing simultaneous tasks
  • May be required to work holidays. Overtime may be required.

Requirements

* Must be able to navigate various systems and browsers

  • Excellent written/verbal/interpersonal communication skills sufficient to communicate and interact effectively with customers and co-workers
  • Knowledge of contact center technology
  • Strong computer skills with proficiencies in Excel and Word
  • Excellent command of the English language, effective use of grammar skills
  • Excellent communication etiquette
  • Great customer service is expected on every call with our customers: personalize your call, be competent with the information & assistance you deliver to your customer, patient & polite, and be initiative-taking in offering solutions and assistance. These factors have the biggest influence on our customer experience and are measured through quality monitoring and continuous improvement.
