Job Summary
As a Manager State & Higher Education at arenaflex, you'll be responsible for investing in the future of our people and executing strategic direction for State, Local, and Higher Education (SLED) managed travel accounts.
Key Responsibilities
- Coach and professionally develop Field Government Account Managers and designated portfolio management to achieve sales and revenue growth targets
- Execute strategic direction for SLED managed travel accounts, including identifying new business opportunities and developing partnerships with key stakeholders
- Increase sales and revenue growth through effective sales strategies and tactics
- Establish formal partnerships with SLED managed travel accounts to broaden awareness of our corporate travel programs and services
- Identify and hire a sales organization of trusted advisors in the managed travel industry
- Onboard and train new hires to ensure they have the skills and knowledge needed to succeed in their roles
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement sales strategies and tactics
- Analyze sales data and market trends to identify opportunities for growth and improvement
- Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including SLED managed travel accounts and other business partners
Essential Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in sales, account management, or a related field
- Proven track record of success in sales and revenue growth
- Strong leadership and coaching skills, with experience in developing and managing high-performing teams
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze sales data and market trends
- Experience in the managed travel industry, with knowledge of SLED managed travel accounts and their needs
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field
- Experience in a leadership role, with a proven track record of success in developing and managing high-performing teams
- Strong knowledge of sales strategies and tactics, with experience in developing and implementing sales plans
- Experience in working with cross-functional teams to develop and implement sales strategies and tactics
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with experience in analyzing sales data and market trends
