Experienced Technical Customer Support Representative – Gaming Industry Expert

Schedule:
We're looking for a flexible and dedicated individual to join our team on a part-time schedule, working Tuesday through Saturday, preferably from 10am to 6pm CT. This schedule allows for a great work-life balance and the opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the gaming industry.
Job Duties:
As a Technical Customer Support Representative at arenaflex, you'll be responsible for:
- Identifying, investigating, and resolving customer questions or problems with computer software and hardware
- Providing email, chat, and telephone support to end-users experiencing technical difficulties
- Applying knowledge of computer software, hardware, and procedures to solve problems
- Guiding users through diagnostic and troubleshooting processes, which may include the use of diagnostic tools and software and/or following verbal instructions
- Identifying and escalating support situations requiring urgent attention
- Tracking and routing support requests via our computerized ticketing system; thoroughly documenting resolutions
- Staying current with product upgrades, system information, and business updates
- Collaborating with other team members to research and resolve problems
- Performing other related duties as assigned
Required Skills/Abilities:
To succeed in this role, you'll need:
- Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn an array of computer hardware and software
- A thorough understanding of computer software and hardware, including desktop computers, network devices, and peripherals
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
- A professional and pleasant telephone manner
- The ability to explain technical issues to technical and non-technical customers
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
- A willingness to have telephone conversations monitored for quality assurance
Education and Experience:
While not required, we prefer candidates with:
- An Associate's degree in Computer Science or a related field
- 2+ years of experience in customer technical support
Physical Demands:
As a Technical Customer Support Representative, you'll be working in a remote environment, so you'll need to be able to:
- Sit for the duration of the workday
- Use a keyboard, headset, and computer monitor for the workday
