Key Responsibilities:
* Greet customers in a friendly and welcoming manner, determine their needs, and exceed their expectations through exceptional customer service
- Deliver outstanding customer experiences through customer engagement and quality product delivery
- Be knowledgeable about products and services offered and properly promote them to customers
- Identify customer needs and offer additional services that could benefit them
- Receive, sort, and place mail in mailboxes accurately
- Record all sales transactions completely and accurately in the Point of Sale system
- Pack contents for shipping using established procedures and products
- Receive and prepare documents for printing
- Operate all software packages, including shipment manifesting software and label generation
- Process and document damaged shipments, late, and lost package claims
- Assist in merchandising the store, including stocking shelves with product, ensuring a clean and orderly appearance of product, and informing appropriate personnel of inventory levels for re-ordering supplies
- Perform end-of-day duties, including reconciliation of cash, checks, money orders, credit cards, and all other transactions accurately and in accordance with company policy and procedure
- Operate copiers, fax machines, binding equipment, and all other office machines in a safe, efficient, and productive manner
- Help customers operate office machines located in the retail area
- Perform general housekeeping duties
Essential Qualifications:
* High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in a related field preferred
- 1-2 years of experience in sales, customer service, or a related field
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and stand for long periods
- Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends
Preferred Qualifications:
* Experience working in a retail or customer-facing environment
- Knowledge of Point of Sale systems and shipping procedures
- Familiarity with office equipment, such as copiers and fax machines
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
