A Day in the Role:
As a Customer Support Agent, you'll be responsible for providing timely, accurate, and customer-focused claim information to callers. Your primary goal will be to deliver a superior level of customer service, while also meeting strict attendance expectations and call metrics. Here are some key responsibilities you'll be expected to perform:
Provide claim information:
Answer calls from external and internal clients, providing accurate and timely information about disability and/or life and/or leave claims.
Solicit information:
Gather necessary information from callers to document new claim submissions, ongoing claims, and other applicable situations.
Record summaries:
Enter information into our claim system with a high level of accuracy and detail, ensuring that summaries are easily understood by users.
Issue claim acknowledgement correspondence:
Process incoming documents with high coding integrity and distribute them immediately.
Meet operational standards:
Remain fully compliant with operational standards and meet or exceed call center operational metrics.
Maintain customer relationships:
Provide genuine caring and empathetic customer service throughout all interactions, taking appropriate actions to earn the caller's trust and anticipate their needs.
Essential Qualifications:

Customer service experience:
A minimum of 2-3 years of customer service experience in a financial services industry is desired.
Call center experience:
Experience working in a call center environment, utilizing telephony-related production tools.
Data entry skills:
Ability to enter information into our claim system quickly and accurately while on the phone with a customer.
Multi-tasking:
Ability to multi-task, handling multiple calls and tasks simultaneously.
Computer skills:
Proficiency in using a computer and navigating our claim system.
Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree:
A Bachelor's degree in a related field may be considered in lieu of customer service experience.
Type 7,000+ KPH:
Ability to type at a speed of 7,000+ KPH.
Strong communication skills:
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients and colleagues.
