The Role

As a Technical Content Designer, you'll be part of a dynamic team that's dedicated to creating engaging and informative content for our Help Center and internal customer service knowledge base. You'll work closely with program managers, visual designers, and cross-functional partners in product, engineering, and research to develop content that's both technically accurate and easy to understand. Your expertise in technical writing and editing will help us provide top-notch support to our members and customer service agents, ensuring that they can enjoy Netflix without any hiccups.

Responsibilities

* Lead large complex editorial projects end to end, including setting content strategy, goals, timelines, and reporting

  • Create and edit Customer Service content (Help Center and internal knowledge base articles, customer service emails, as well as other support materials)
  • Ensure consistent content style, tone, and format meet the evolving expectations of a global audience
  • Partner closely with support operations, localization, legal, product design, and engineering teams
  • Create, maintain, and update style guides and editorial training
  • Leverage multiple data sources to provide data-driven analysis and content recommendations
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop content that's aligned with business objectives and member needs
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in technical content design and customer service

Qualifications

* BS/BA degree in English, Communications, Technical Writing, or a related field

  • 5+ years of relevant experience in technical writing, editing, or content design
  • Exceptional writing, editing, project management, and communications skills
  • Extensive technical or UI writing experience, with a focus on customer service or highly technical environments
  • Experience writing for different platforms (e.g., computer, mobile, or TV)
  • Experience with information architecture and content management systems
  • Desired qualities:

What We Offer

* Competitive annual salary range: $50,000 - $190,000
