Virtual Parts Person

As the first point of contact, the Virtual Parts Person plays a critical role in understanding the customer’s needs and providing them with solutions. To do this, we need customer service champions with knowledge of all things parts! Note: This is a fully remote role that requires senior‑level parts knowledge. Pay Type Full Time, Permanent Compensation $53,125.00 – $66,407.50 The listed base salary is just one component of our total rewards package, and performance-based or discretionary bonuses may be available. As a Virtual Parts Person, YOU will experience: Working within one of the safest organizations in the industry where your safety and well-being are our most important priority Working for the best in class equipment dealer and with the premium Caterpillar brand Opportunities to continuously Learn, Grow and Develop with our Toromont team through our internal Training teams that are geared for your success Competitive total rewards including: wages, benefits, and premiums (as eligible) An opportunity for flexible work schedules and opportunities across multiple locations across Eastern Canada In a typical day, YOU will: Enhance our customer's experience and commitment to brand loyalty by providing product expertise, relevant parts recommendations and regular communication of current and upcoming parts promotions Manage parts inquiries and correspondence effectively by phone, email, text, and chat in a timely and courteous manner Remotely help to manage the daily functions of various parts operations, including sourcing, procuring and ordering parts, following up on backorders and credits This is a work from home position, must understand Toromont’s privacy policy and PCI compliance policy (CC sensitive info handled according to policy) Be Self motivated in an independent working environment Require a reliable internet connection Need to be able to communicate with variety of branches and learn the Tribal Knowledge associated with each one. Watch the Q’s and suggest changes to support Must-haves for this role: Post Secondary Education and 3+ years proven experience working in a parts operation Technical knowledge specific to the heavy equipment/truck parts industry is a necessity Customer-centric with a proven ability to build and sustain customer relationships through effective communication and strong interpersonal skills Solid sales acumen with skills necessary to proactively and effectively link product knowledge to customer needs Exceptional organizational skills and ability to multitask, prioritize and adapt in a fast-paced deadline driven environment A positive self-motivated, team player with a sense of urgency and attention to detail Computer and systems literate with proficiencies in Microsoft Applications Working Knowledge of DBS, CAT SIS, payment portal, Parts POP ups is a requirement Willing and able to work flexible hours in support of the business needs Provide on call service as required, at times on weekends and evenings About Toromont Cat With over 4,000 employees and 56 locations from Manitoba to Newfoundland, Toromont Cat has a proven track record, industry knowledge, dealership infrastructure, and service mindset to ensure our Construction, Mining, and Power Generation customers succeed.
