Osaic Careers Financial Planning Opportunity in Financial Services Director, Advanced Planning – Highland Capital Brokerage Location(s): Remote Role Type: Full time Salary: $100,000 - $110,000 per year + Sales Incentive Compensation Actual compensation offered will be determined individually, based on a number of job-related factors, including location, skills, licensure, experience, and education. Summary: The primary responsibility of this position is to provide advanced case support to internal distribution platforms and advisors with an emphasis on effectively using risk management products (life insurance, annuities, disability income and long-term-care solutions) in client’s estate and tax planning. The position will also be responsible for the development of educational content for advisors discussing tax law and taxation strategies relevant to wealth managers. Education Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree Preferred, H.S. Diploma or GED certificate + Significant Practical Experience will be considered. CFP designation preferred and at least 5 years’ experience working in advanced markets at a product provider, independent broker-dealer, or independent RIA will be considered. Responsibilities: Provide guidance to advisors seeking tax strategies related to financial planning or wealth management activities. Maintain knowledge of current trends in the market, including breaking case law and regulatory changes that could impact the availability of planning strategies. Create custom models or visuals for client situations to assist advisors in presenting solutions. Coordinate with client’s attorney or tax advisors to add value to case consultation and help generate Coordinate with other Ladenburg subject matter experts in the areas of asset management, trust services, business planning, estate planning, and insurance planning to deliver comprehensive case support Interface with product sponsor advanced sales team to stay abreast of how we can help advisors leverage resources. Develop advanced sales concepts and supporting marketing collateral. Design educational and training content to raise an advisor’s ability to address advanced planning concepts. Experienced & polished presentation skills required. Deliver training via webinar or through in-person speaking opportunities. Skill in utilizing various software packages such as Microsoft Office, Outlook, Excel, etc. Basic Requirements: Insurance licensure preferred Securities Industry Series 6 & 63 preferred Minimum of 10 years’ related experience with a working knowledge of common securities and insurance product categories. Strong knowledge of advanced planning concepts and strategies using risk management products such as life insurance, LTC / linked benefits, annuities and disability income. Preferred Requirements: Strong partnership mindset with an aptitude for developing effective relationships with a wide variety of internal and external associates Strong knowledge of individual life insurance, annuity, trust, financial planning, executive benefit, and/or linked benefit products Must be very effective in communicating and explaining these strategies with strong written and verbal skills, and the ability to communicate well in front of a group, and to individuals in-person and remotely.
