Expert React Native Engineer

Ciklum is looking for an Expert React Native Engineer to join our team full-time in Romania.

About the role

As an Expert React Native Engineer, become a part of a cross-functional development team engineering experiences of tomorrow. We are looking for a highly skilled React Native Developer to lead the development of a new mobile application. The goal is to build and release a robust cross-platform solution for both iOS and Android. Project Tech Stack: React Native, Expo, Native Bridges (Swift/Kotlin).

Responsibilities

• Architect and develop the initial version of the mobile app from scratch
• Deliver a production-ready MVP within the first 2–3 months
• Work independently or in a small pair-programming setup (initially 2 developers, scaling down to 1 after the first release)
• Ensure high performance and a seamless UI/UX across both mobile platforms

Requirements

• Expert React Native Proficiency: You must be an expert capable of implementing the full application independently, as there is limited internal mobile expertise
• Native Knowledge: Strong understanding of native mobile development (Swift/Kotlin) to bridge the gap between React Native and platform-specific requirements
• Expo Experience: Hands-on experience with the Expo ecosystem is highly preferred
• Full Lifecycle Experience: Proven track record of building and successfully releasing apps on both the Apple App Store and Google Play Store

Desirable

• Experience working in a "partnership" dynamic where you have previously collaborated with another developer on the team
• Ability to work autonomously with minimal technical oversight
