Job Description

We run T- Cloud Public! T- Cloud Public is a public cloud standard product based on open source community software and driven by principles of DevSecOps. Lean structures, agile methods, highly motivated teams and an extremely dynamic business environment determine our actions. With this customer-oriented and agile orientation, we are the anchor point for the Public Cloud business in Deutsche Telekom Group.

Purpose

As DevOps Engineer on the T- Cloud Public team, you will be the cornerstone of our infrastructure, designing and building the robust, scalable platform that powers our ecosystem. You will take full ownership of our cloud infrastructure, leveraging your deep expertise to solve complex challenges in security, automation, and performance. This is a high-impact role where your work will directly influence the success of a key Deutsche Telekom product.

WHAT WILL YOU DO?

  • Develop new applications for our cloud platform’s ecosystem.
  • Code, test and deploy often.
  • Collaborate upstream-first with the community.
  • Consistently automate with common automation frameworks.
  • Develop tools to make operations more efficient and increase quality of service.
  • Work in a team of specialists where everyone helps each other in an open and trusting way.

Qualifications

YOU WILL SUCCEED IF YOU

  • Completed studies in a technical, engineering or scientific subject or comparable professional training.
  • 2-3 years of professional experience in IT (possibly with focus on modern cloud technologies). experience in Linux, Protocols and High Availability.
  • Basic knowledge of software defined networks, routing, firewalls and physical networks. Some experience in infrastructure automation.
  • OpenStack and programming experience in open source projects is a plus.
  • Knowledge of agile development processes (Scrum, Kanban).
  • High level of customer focus.
  • Ability to assess technical solutions and come up with creative approaches.
  • Fluency in written and spoken English (B2+ level).

Salary

Final salary is negotiable.

We are offering base salary depending on seniority level and previous experience of candidate. In addition to base salary we provide variable part and other financial benefits. Base salary will not be lower than 1650€ /brutto.
