Learn more about our story at: https://rubylabs.com/about-us/ About the role We are looking for a sharp, user-obsessed Mid-Senior UX Researcher to help shape the player experience at Vegas Bonanza. In this role, you will be our primary voice of the user — conducting research, surfacing behavioral insights, and translating findings into actionable product decisions. You will work closely with Product, Design, and Data teams to ensure every product decision is grounded in real user understanding, not assumptions. This is a high-impact role for someone who thrives on turning ambiguity into clarity and insights into outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

User Research Operations — Plan and execute qualitative and quantitative research studies including user interviews, surveys, usability tests, and diary studies across the full player journey. Behavioral Analysis — Analyze user behavior across our platform using analytics tools, session recordings, heatmaps, and funnel data to identify friction points and opportunities. Competitor & Market Research — Conduct structured competitive analysis of sweepstakes casino products to benchmark our UX against industry standards and identify gaps. Wireframing & Prototyping — Use Figma or Visily to translate research insights into wireframes, user flows, and low-to-mid fidelity prototypes that guide product and design decisions. User Personas & Journey Mapping — Develop and maintain player personas, customer journey maps, and mental models that inform product strategy and prioritization. A/B Testing & Validation — Design and interpret A/B tests, surveys, and concept validation studies to ensure design decisions are data-backed. Cross-Functional Collaboration — Work directly with Product Managers, Designers, and Developers to embed user insights into the product lifecycle from ideation through launch. Stakeholder Reporting — Document and present research findings clearly to stakeholders, making complex insights accessible and actionable. UX Standards — Champion user-centered design principles, accessibility standards, and usability best practices across all product initiatives. Continuous Discovery — Proactively identify new research questions, monitor industry UX trends, and propose process improvements to keep our research function sharp. Qualifications 2+ years of hands-on experience in UX research, with a portfolio or case studies demonstrating research-to-product impact. Proficiency in Figma and/or Visily for wireframing, prototyping, and user flow design. Strong command of user-centered design (UCD) principles, usability heuristics, and accessibility standards. Proven experience conducting user interviews, usability testing, and surveys — both moderated and unmoderated. Familiarity with analytics and behavioral tools such as Mixpanel, Hotjar, FullStory, or Google Analytics. Experience designing and interpreting A/B tests and concept validation studies. Strong analytical mindset — ability to synthesize qualitative and quantitative data into clear, prioritized insights. Excellent written and verbal communication skills; able to present research clearly to non-research audiences. Advanced AI user — comfortable leveraging AI tools to accelerate research synthesis, generate interview guides, and surface patterns at scale. Basic familiarity with front-end development (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) is a plus. English fluency required. Nice to have Experience in sweepstakes casino, online gaming, fintech, or consumer subscription products. Familiarity with AI-driven UX research methodologies and tools. Experience working in fast-paced startup or scale-up environments. Exposure to game mechanics, reward loops, or player psychology research. Location Ruby Labs operates within the CET (Central European Time) zone. Applicants from any country are welcome to apply for the position as long as they are located within approximately ± 4 hours of CET. This ensures optimal collaboration and communication during working hours.
