What You'll Do
As a key member of our Fleet Engineering Team, you'll play a vital role in supporting the safe and efficient operation of our aircraft. Your responsibilities will include:
- Staying Informed: Keeping up-to-date with day-to-day airline operations, including field of responsibility, to ensure you're always aware of the latest developments and challenges.
- Prioritizing Tasks: Assessing daily priorities in accordance with airline/departmental objectives and management directives to ensure you're focusing on the most critical tasks.
- Troubleshooting: Investigating aircraft/component problems that may cause delays or cancellations, substantial expenditures in manpower or materials, or interruptions in maintenance operations, and determining appropriate corrective actions.
- Providing Engineering Support: Offering technical assistance to Maintenance and other airline departments when required to support projects or resolve problems.
- Developing Action Plans: Creating plans for fleet/multi-fleet and/or component engineering projects and pursuing final dispositions according to assessed priorities.
- Coordinating with Other Departments: Working with other airline departments to provide for effective and efficient implementation of engineering dispositions.
- Preparing Engineering Documents: Preparing customized procedures for repairs, modifications, inspections, or other maintenance actions that provide benefits in accordance with airline/departmental objectives and management directives.
Essential Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you'll need:
- Bachelor's Degree: A degree in a relevant field, such as engineering, aviation, or a related discipline.
- Experience: A minimum of 2-3 years of experience in a related field, with a strong understanding of aircraft systems and maintenance operations.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in technical software and tools, including Microsoft Office, CAD, and other relevant applications.
- Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
- Problem-Solving Skills: Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex problems and develop effective solutions.
Preferred Qualifications
While not essential, the following qualifications would be highly desirable:
- Master's Degree: A master's degree in a relevant field, such as engineering or aviation.
- Certifications: Relevant certifications, such as A&P or IA, would be highly valued.
- Language Skills: Proficiency in multiple languages, including English, Spanish, and/or other relevant languages.
- Experience with arenaflex Systems: Familiarity with arenaflex's systems and processes would be an asset.
