Experienced Customer Service Section Chief – Fleet Management Operations

Responsibilities and Duties
As a Customer Service Section Chief, you will be responsible for:
- Overseeing customer service supervisors and operations, ensuring exceptional customer experiences and efficient operations
- Researching, analyzing, and resolving complex or sensitive customer problems and inquiries through various forms of communication, including phone, email, in-person, and more
- Scheduling and evaluating work assignments to ensure optimal productivity and efficiency
- Overseeing the installation of equipment and ensuring seamless integration with existing systems
- Managing the design, development, and implementation of technical training programs, including system integrations, voice data services, and more
- Overseeing internal collections, gathering and interpreting data for collection activity, and organizing and monitoring lists to determine liens to be filed with outside agencies
- Scheduling and following up on administrative hearings, analyzing customer accounts, recommending corrections, and rendering decisions
- Planning, conducting, and revising audits to ensure compliance and identify areas for improvement
- Creating audit reports based on documented findings, drawing conclusions, and making recommendations
- Assisting in developing, monitoring budgets, and inventories to ensure optimal resource allocation and efficiency
- Assigning and overseeing tasks for the merchandising team to ensure seamless operations and exceptional customer experiences
- Performing other duties as assigned to ensure the success of the Fleet Management team
Working Conditions
The position is physically comfortable most of the time, with occasional periods of stooping, bending, and/or lifting of materials up to 50 pounds. General office conditions may require long periods of standing at a counter.
Educational Requirements
* High school diploma or GED required
Experience Requirements
* Five years of administrative or customer service-related experience required
- Substitutions: Associate's degree may be substituted for up to two years of experience, and Bachelor's degree may be substituted for up to four years of experience
License Requirements
* None
Preferred Qualifications
* Previous knowledge/experience with MS Excel, MS Access, SAP, and Asset Works M5
- General knowledge of the automotive industry and 18 months of supervisory experience in retail automotive
- Previous experience performing parts inventory receiving and issuing knowledge
Selection and Skills Tests
* Department may administer skills assessment tests to evaluate candidates' skills and qualifications

* Factors used in determining the salary offered include the candidate's qualifications as well as the pay rates of other employees in this classification
