Job Summary
We're seeking an experienced Data Engineer to join our team and help us develop and maintain our cloud-based data pipelines. As a Data Engineer, you'll work closely with our data scientists, analysts, and engineers to design, develop, and deploy data pipelines that meet the needs of our business. You'll be responsible for ensuring that our data is accurate, reliable, and easily accessible to our stakeholders, and that our data pipelines are scalable, secure, and efficient.
Key Responsibilities
* Design, develop, and maintain cloud-based data pipelines using a range of technologies, including SQL, Python, Docker, and GitLab
- Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and engineers to identify data requirements and design data pipelines that meet the needs of our business
- Develop and maintain ETL/ELT data pipelines, data set designs, and data visualization tools
- Ensure that our data is accurate, reliable, and easily accessible to our stakeholders
- Develop and maintain automated workflows and data validation processes
- Collaborate with our data governance team to ensure that our data pipelines meet our data governance standards
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to the development of our data engineering practices and standards
Essential Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field
- 2+ years of experience in ELT/ETL data pipeline development and support
- Strong experience with Python and SQL (ideally with Snowflake)
- Experience with cloud-based data platforms, such as Snowflake, Databricks, or similar
- Experience with automated workflows and data validation processes
- Strong understanding of data governance principles and practices
Preferred Qualifications
* Experience working with large datasets and big data technologies, ideally cloud-based
- Proficiency in cloud design and product development, ideally AWS
- Experience with source control tools, such as GitLab or GitHub
- Experience with Docker and containerization
