Key Responsibilities:
As a Patient Care Advocate, you'll be responsible for handling customer service inquiries from members, providers, physicians, and internal and external clients related to pharmacy benefits. Your primary objectives will be to:
- Handle inbound and outbound calls from members, providers, and physicians in a timely and professional manner
- Answer questions related to pharmacy benefits, while maintaining productivity standards and performance guarantees where applicable
- Work with other operational departments to research and resolve mail order and claims issues, and respond to members within performance agreement guidelines
- Maintain accurate and complete documentation of all inquiries to continuously improve the customer service process and reduce potential legal concerns
- Identify and escalate concerns received from patients and/or clients in a prudent manner, ensuring corrective action is pursued and expedited to address their needs
- Adhere to quality and production standards while complying with all applicable company, state, and federal safety regulations
Essential Qualifications:
To succeed in this role, you'll need:
- 1 year of experience in a call center environment (preferably)
- 1 year of experience in customer service (preferably)
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Proficiency in using computerized systems to gather information and respond to questions
- Ability to work independently and as part of a remote team
Preferred Qualifications:
* Experience working with pharmacy benefits or healthcare-related programs
- Familiarity with customer relationship management (CRM) software
- Certification in customer service or a related field (e.g., Certified Customer Service Representative (CCSR))
