Job Summary
As a Network Protection Examiner Understudy, you will work closely with our Incident Response Team to identify and mitigate digital threats, analyze breaches, and develop quick response plans. You will also collaborate with experts to enhance security measures and ensure that our systems and processes are aligned with industry standards. This is a part-time remote position that offers a competitive hourly rate of $25/hour and the opportunity to work with a dynamic team of cybersecurity professionals.
Key Responsibilities
* Work with business clients to conduct needs analysis related to systems and business processes to develop quality technical solutions
- Ensure solutions are aligned with internal tooling, business processes, and compliance with departmental standards
- Manage timelines for planning, coding, testing, and implementation to ensure solutions are delivered on time and within budget
- Act as a resource to ensure effective communication between business and IT groups
- Participate in system and acceptance testing
- Scope of work may vary depending on the team project
Essential Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) required
- Fundamental knowledge of data security and risk management standards, theories, and practices
- Experience or exposure to Proofpoint PhishAlarm preferred
- Experience or knowledge of ServiceNow Administration, Risk and Compliance (GRC) preferred
- Essential knowledge of business analysis, process modeling, and improvement preferred
- Major understanding of project management systems, including the ability to design, manage, and maintain a complex, organization-wide program preferred
- Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing with all levels within the organization, including both technical and non-technical stakeholders preferred
- Fundamental knowledge of technical environment required
- Openness to Agile philosophies preferred
- Coursework or experience related to Network Security preferred
- Ability to remain organized and manage multiple and simultaneous tasks under tight deadlines preferred
- Past investigator entry-level position experience within the past year preferred
- Experience resolving business issues in a capstone or case competition preferred
- Functions well in a culture that is open, direct, conscious, gracious, and empathetic
- Fast learner, self-motivated, team-oriented, with a sense of humor
