The Role

As a part-time remote live chat support agent, you'll be responsible for delivering exceptional customer service and support via live chat on business websites and social media platforms. Your primary duties will include:

  • Engaging with customers through live chat, responding to their queries, and providing product links and discounts as needed
  • Working independently to resolve customer issues and concerns in a timely and professional manner
  • Following instructions closely to ensure consistency and accuracy in your work
  • Maintaining a high level of productivity and efficiency while working remotely
  • Collaborating with our team to ensure seamless customer support and a positive experience

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you'll need to possess the following skills and qualifications:

  • Access to a device capable of accessing social media and website chat functions (phone, tablet, or laptop)
  • Ability to work independently and manage your time effectively
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with customers in a friendly and professional manner
  • Minimum of 10 hours availability per week, with flexibility to work up to 40 hours
  • Reliable internet connection and a quiet, distraction-free workspace
  • Ability to follow instructions closely and work in a fast-paced environment

Preferred Qualifications

While prior experience in live chat support is not required, we do prefer candidates with:

  • Previous customer service experience, either in-person or online
  • Familiarity with live chat software and social media platforms
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to think critically
  • Excellent communication and writing skills, with the ability to articulate complex information in a clear and concise manner
