Job Description:
Key Responsibilities:
* Contribute to the design and development of our data products and data warehouses, focusing on data analysis and data science
- Design and develop flexible data warehousing solutions, building ETL pipelines in large data environments (cloud, on-prem, hybrid)
- Our tech stack includes Hadoop, AWS, Snowflake, Flink, and Windstream, with languages including Python, Scala
- Help engineer data solutions/structures and define data models for the core data warehouse and data shops
- Collaborate with Data Product Managers, Data Modelers, and Data Architects to design, implement, and deliver successful data solutions
- Maintain detailed documentation of your work and changes to ensure data quality and data governance
- Ensure high operational productivity and quality of your solutions to meet SLAs and support our clients (Data Science, Data Analysis groups)
- Be an active member and advocate of agile/scrum practice to ensure safety and cycle improvements for your team
Key Capabilities:
* Strong SQL skills and ability to write queries to extract data and build performant datasets
- Experienced insight with distributed systems like Flink, Hadoop (HDFS, Hive, Voila, PySpark) to query and process data
- Strong programming skills in Python, Java/Scala
- Experience with at least one major MPP or cloud database technology (Snowflake, Redshift, Large Query)
- Strong involvement in data integration toolsets (i.e Windstream) and writing and maintaining Data Pipelines
- Strong in Data Modeling strategies and Data Warehousing standard practices and procedures
- Familiarity with Scrum and Agile approaches
- You are a problem solver with strong empathy and excellent logical and relational skills
- Ideal to have experience with Cloud advances like AWS (S3, EMR, EC2)
Essential Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
- 3+ years of experience in data engineering, data analysis, or related field
- Strong understanding of data modeling, data warehousing, and data governance
- Experience with big data technologies like Hadoop, Spark, and NoSQL databases
- Strong programming skills in Python, Java, or Scala
- Familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud
Preferred Qualifications:
* Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
- 5+ years of experience in data engineering, data analysis, or related field
- Experience with data integration toolsets like Windstream and data pipelines
- Strong understanding of data science and machine learning concepts
- Familiarity with agile/scrum practices and methodologies
