Job Responsibilities

As a Compliance Analyst at arenaflex, you'll play a critical role in supporting the Finance management and oversight of compliance within our organization. Your primary responsibilities will include:

• Supporting the development of a framework for continuous assessment of risks at arenaflex finance
• Collaborating with the legal and external teams to implement and comply with new regulatory changes relevant to arenaflex Finance
• Monitoring the testing of Internal Financial Controls (IFCs) as described under the Companies Act 2013 associated with Corporate Finance
• Assisting initiatives within the finance teams to ensure that internal/external audit observations are addressed and critical actions are taken within dedicated timelines for the closure of the observations
• Supporting STPI-SEZ statutory compliance with daily activities
• Managing the GRC tool in Archer, which may involve evaluating compliance with Finance; Treasury; Tax, HR – Payroll & STPI & SEZ compliance, including but not limited to:

+ Ensuring that withholding taxes are deposited in accordance with statutory timelines + Ensuring compliance with various Customs-related Acts, GST, MSME, Companies Act, etc. + Ensuring compliance with the provisions of the Foreign Exchange Management Act 2000 + Partnering with the FAR team, HR, and legal teams to ensure all Human Resources-related statutes (e.g., Provident Fund; Gratuity; Payments of Bonus Act), etc. are complied with + Reviewing and updating Standard Operating Procedures and assisting in physical verification of fixed assets + Building and evaluating RACI and assisting teams within Corporate Finance + Assisting team members in compliance with Information Protection Policies and data control of the company + Preparing a compliance dashboard for management to provide and update on Operational and Compliance status

Reporting/Working Relationships

As a Compliance Analyst, you'll report to the Sr. Manager Finance Compliance and work closely with the finance pyramid team members and other key stakeholders.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you'll need:

• A college degree in accounting
• Preferably a Chartered Accountant/Company Secretary with 1-4 years of post-qualification work experience from a reputable organization or auditing firm (ideally audit practice/compliance)
• Preferably having expertise in indirect taxation/STPI & SEZ/HR law expertise/FEMA
• Strong analytical skills with a keen interest in detail
• Good communication skills
• Proficiency in primary accounting systems
