About the Role

We're seeking an experienced Full Stack Distributed Systems Engineer to join our Data Platform team at arenaflex. As a key member of our team, you'll play a critical role in designing, building, and operating our distributed systems infrastructure. You'll work closely with our engineers, product managers, and TPMs to drive cross-functional initiatives and deliver high-quality solutions that meet the needs of our business.

Focus Areas:

Our Data Platform team is responsible for building and operating the infrastructure that powers our data-driven decision-making. We're focused on three key areas:

Database Access Stage

Our Database Access Stage team builds and operates a flexible query engine that enables our microservices to store, consume, and manage their data at sub-millisecond latencies. This team is passionate about distributed systems and open-source technologies, and we're looking for someone who shares our enthusiasm.

Information Stage Foundation

Our Information Stage Foundation team serves as a platform for our own data platforms. We provide common framework and tooling that enables arenaflex to rapidly develop and deploy cutting-edge data and analytics platforms without building custom infrastructure for each new project.

Big Data Figure

Our Big Data Figure team is responsible for building the cloud-native stage for distributed data processing at arenaflex. We're looking for someone with expertise in Flash, Presto/Trino, Druid, Iceberg, and distributed database frameworks to join our team.

Big Data Arrangement

Our Big Data Arrangement team offers a platform for planning, organizing, and executing big data jobs and workflows in a self-serve way. We're moving towards event-driven and intelligent scheduling, which requires minimal client input or intervention.

About You

We're looking for someone with: * 2+ years of experience in building large-scale distributed systems features or applications * Strong skills in designing and developing scalable, fault-tolerant, and highly available distributed systems * Experience with Java or other object-oriented programming languages * Ability to work with multiple technologies and frameworks * Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field
