Job Summary

As an Experienced Customer Support Specialist, you will play a critical role in assisting Shopify store owners in managing their day-to-day operations and customer interactions. Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Providing exceptional live chat customer support to businesses' customers via their websites and social media accounts
  • Troubleshooting and resolving customer queries and concerns in a timely and professional manner
  • Guiding customers through their purchasing process and providing detailed product information
  • Collaborating with business owners to understand their specific needs and preferences
  • Staying up-to-date with product knowledge and industry trends to provide informed support

Key Responsibilities

* Live Chat Customer Support: + Handle incoming customer support questions via live chat on businesses' websites and social media accounts + Respond to customer inquiries in a timely and professional manner + Troubleshoot and resolve customer queries and concerns

  • Customer Engagement:

+ Guide customers through their purchasing process + Provide detailed product information and recommendations + Collaborate with business owners to understand their specific needs and preferences

  • Product Knowledge:

+ Stay up-to-date with product knowledge and industry trends + Provide informed support to customers and business owners

  • Communication:

+ Communicate effectively with customers and business owners via live chat, email, and phone + Respond to customer feedback and concerns in a timely and professional manner

Essential Qualifications

* High school diploma or equivalent required; degree in a related field (e.g., business, marketing, communications) preferred

  • 1+ year of customer support experience in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Proficient in using technology, including social media and website chat functions
  • Reliable internet connection and a device able to access social media and website chat functions (phone, tablet, or laptop)
  • Availability of 10+ hours per week

Preferred Qualifications

* Experience working in the e-commerce industry or a related field

  • Knowledge of Shopify and other e-commerce platforms
  • Familiarity with customer relationship management (CRM) software
  • Experience with social media marketing and management
  • Strong understanding of customer service principles and best practices
