Experienced Member Services Representative – Remote Customer Service

Key Responsibilities
As a Member Services Representative, you will be responsible for:
- Completing daily tasks related to check processing, object processing, direct deposits, and budget transfers
- Coordinating return items with contributors, vendors, the Federal Reserve Bank, and other institutions
- Assisting other departments with fraud resolution, member inquiries, and accounting standard ledger balancing
- Working member cases/assignments and following established guidelines and procedures
- Processing mortgage payments, multi-account and member deposits, credit card payments, and other checks, including IRA, bankruptcy, and payoff checks
- Reviewing, examining, and approving Remote Deposit, Mobile, ATM, and other imaged-enabled products
- Logging, reviewing, and making necessary GL, account changes, and/or returns
- Processing Stop Pays and Check Batching
- Completing daily balancing and department closing
- Obtaining information from members for timely and accurate processing of international and domestic budget transfer requests
- Researching and verifying incoming and outgoing budget transfer information
- Communicating with vendors to process budget transfers
- Understanding and being familiar with outgoing and incoming budget transfer regulations
- Depositing check returns, reviewing member check returns on draft changes, processing member checks, verifying members for outgoing budget transfers, and Federal Reserve verifying and releasing budget transfers
- Completing daily processing of workflows associated with overdue returns, supply of receipts, international collections, and legal fees
Essential Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- A high school degree or equivalent
- Intermediate Excel and Word experience
- Strong customer service skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work independently and with minimal supervision
- Strong mathematical skills and attention to detail
- Ability to prioritize work and meet deadlines under high-pressure situations
- Ability to communicate effectively with team members and vendors
- Familiarity with banking and credit union operations
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
Preferred Qualifications
* Previous customer/member service experience
- Previous banking or credit union experience
- Episys/Symitar and processing wires experience
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office software (e.g., Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint)
