Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Seasonal Customer Service Representative Part-Time to join our team on a temporary basis. As a Seasonal Customer Service Representative, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service to healthcare members, answering their inquiries, and resolving their problems in a timely and accurate manner. This is a 100% remote opportunity, and you will have the flexibility to work from the comfort of your own home.
Schedule and Duration
The schedule for this role is as follows:
- 20 hours total, with two 8-hour shifts on Saturdays and Sundays:
+ Shift 1: 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM EST + Shift 2: 1:30 PM to 10:00 PM EST
- Additional 4-hour shift scheduled for coverage during peak business hours
- Duration: October 2024 through January 2025
Key Responsibilities and Duties
As a Seasonal Customer Service Representative Part-Time, you will be responsible for:
- Answering and tracking telephone calls within established department standards
- Tracking all existing member calls within the IKA database, ensuring that documentation is concise and factual
- Fully understanding all lines of business benefits, medical management processes, demographic change processes, and process for changing Primary Care Physicians (PCP)
- Answering "entry level" claims inquiries
- Taking "Over the Counter" (OTC) orders for products and diabetic supplies
- Understanding and processing "entry level" enrollment and disenrollment procedures
- Entering prospective members into our software database
- Maintaining appropriate current source documents and reference documents
- Interacting professionally with other employees, customers, and suppliers
- Working effectively as a team contributor on all assignments
- Working independently while understanding the necessity for communicating and coordinating work efforts with other employees and organizations
- As required, re-directing calls to appropriate department
Customer Service
As a Seasonal Customer Service Representative Part-Time, you will be responsible for driving the arenaflex culture through values and customer service standards. You will be accountable for outstanding customer service to all external and internal contacts, developing and maintaining positive relationships through effective and timely communication, and taking initiative and action to respond, resolve, and follow up regarding customer service issues with all customers in a timely manner.
Education, Experience, and Required Skills
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Ability to read and interpret documents and calculate figures and amounts
- Strong typing skills (40-60WPM)
- Ability to manage all customer questions/issues while maintaining the highest level of professionalism, provide thoughtful prompt resolution with empathy, poise a consistent voice with the ongoing goal of establishing a positive customer experience
- Must be self-driven with a positive outlook and have the ability to demonstrate confidence, tact, patience, and diplomacy while dealing with customers
- Ability to follow directions and complete tasks accurately as well as accept supervisory input and constructive criticism
- Ability to toggle between different systems to gather information and provide updates
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, including good grammar, voice, and diction
- Proficient in MS Office, including basic computer and keyboarding skills
- Excellent customer service skills (friendly, courteous, and helpful)
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required
- Minimum of six months to one-year related experience required
- An equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
