Our client is seeking a Contract Management Specialist as it continues to develop and establish a foothold in the rapidly growing market space for Maritime Integration. This role is an integral member of the cross-functional team, responsible primarily for supporting contract negotiation activities with our supply base. JOB DESCRIPTION:
- Under general supervision of the Manager, lead all aspects of the contract negotiation process with our supply base.
- Draft and negotiate contract vehicles – specifically Non-Disclosure Agreements and Terms and Conditions.
- Establish major contractual milestones, such as preliminary and critical reviews and other schedule goals.
- Apply ingenuity and innovation to develop solutions to complex contract problems, identify areas for performance improvement, and cost reduction.
- Develop and maintain working relationships with cross-functional partners. (i.e. Contracts, Program Management, Engineering, etc.)
- Provide timely and accurate contract status to upper management.
- Identify process improvements and work with management to facilitate implementation within department.
- This position reports to the Manager of Procurement.
Essential Functions:
- Bachelor’s Degree is required
- Motivated self-starter with an understanding of the Contracting.
- Ability to successfully navigate tactical issues with some degree of autonomy, while consulting with leadership on matters of strategic program importance as needed.
- Ability to communicate effectively with a wide array of professional levels and functions.
- Must be proficient with MS Office suite / SAP is preferred
