Key Responsibilities

As an experienced Bookkeeping Software Customer Support Specialist, your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Providing exceptional customer support via phone, helping customers with questions related to accounting software processes, ledger entry, navigation, and other troubleshooting needs
  • Demonstrating expertise in QuickBooks Online or comparable accounting software, including AR, AP, journal entries, reconciliation, and other bookkeeping/accounting functions
  • Delivering high-quality customer service, resolving customer issues in a timely and professional manner, and taking ownership of customer concerns
  • Cross-selling relevant products and services while addressing customer concerns, and providing confident resolution to customer issues
  • Collaborating with internal teams to resolve complex customer issues and improve overall customer satisfaction
  • Staying up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and new features in accounting software to provide expert support to customers

Essential Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you'll need:

  • Proficiency in QuickBooks Online or comparable accounting software, including AR, AP, journal entries, reconciliation, and other bookkeeping/accounting functions
  • Bookkeeping/accounting expertise, including experience with financial statements, budgeting, and forecasting
  • Customer service experience, with a proven track record of delivering high-quality customer service over the phone in a virtual or "brick and mortar" call center environment
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate complex information in a clear and concise manner
  • Tech-savviness and comfort with using computer software, including Microsoft Office and Google Suite
  • Ability to work independently, with minimal supervision, and as part of a remote team

Preferred Qualifications

While not required, the following qualifications would be beneficial:

  • Experience working with multiple accounting software systems, including QuickBooks Online, Xero, and Sage
  • Knowledge of financial regulations, including GAAP and tax laws
  • Experience with data analysis and reporting, including creating financial reports and dashboards
  • Certification in bookkeeping, accounting, or a related field (e.g., QuickBooks Certified User, Certified Bookkeeper)
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, with multiple priorities and deadlines

Please note that this is a remote, independent contractor role, and you must live and work from the United States, except CA, NY, PA, WA. We are currently unable to work with contractors residing in California, New York, Pennsylvania, or Washington. Contractors must also successfully pass a criminal background check. Contractual Relationship: The relationship between you and arenaflex is a contractual relationship. You will remain an independent contractor for the duration of this program assignment. arenaflex will not be responsible for withholding taxes on your earnings while contracted with arenaflex. When you receive your contract, you will be asked to agree to have no claim against arenaflex hereunder or otherwise for vacation pay, sick leave, retirement benefits, Social Security, worker's compensation, health or disability benefits, overtime, unemployment insurance benefits or employee benefits of any kind.
